Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026

These terms cover your use of the hosted tuckit service at app.tuckit.dev. Using the service means you accept them. The source-available tuckit core is licensed separately under BSL 1.1 and these terms do not govern it.

Who you are agreeing with

The service is operated by [legal entity name], registered at [registered address](“we”). You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a contract.

The service is in beta

tuckit is early software. Features change, occasionally break, and are sometimes removed. We do not offer an uptime guarantee or a support response time while the service is in beta. Do not make tuckit the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything a coding agent you connected does with your permissions. Keep your access tokens secret and revoke them when you no longer need them. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to everything you or your agent writes into tuckit. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, back it up, and display it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to train models.

If you turn on the public board, the workspace you publish becomes readable by anyone with the link. That is the point of the feature, and it is off by default. What you publish is your call.

Acceptable use

Do not use tuckit to:

  • break the law, or store material that is illegal where you or we are;
  • infringe someone else’s rights;
  • attack, overload or probe the service or its other users;
  • resell the hosted service as your own product.

Automated access over MCP or the API is expected and encouraged. Traffic that degrades the service for other people is not, and we may rate-limit it.

Fees

The service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you what they cost and give you notice before any charge applies to your account. We will not start billing an existing account without your explicit agreement.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, for any reason, without asking us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable-use rules above, or if we stop operating the service. If we shut the service down we will give at least 30 days notice and a way to export your data.

Because the core is source-available, self-hosting is always an option available to you.

What we do not promise

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or USD 100.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We will email you before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], and disputes go to its courts. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
